The class includes practice and exploration of posture, balance and fall prevention, flexibility and coordination, and Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery (PWR)! Moves. We do seated movement practices and a significant amount of standing and stepping in many directions. We move on the floor in a variety of positions (back, front, side-lying, sitting) as well as in all-fours and modified all-fours positions. In each class, we incorporate cognitive challenges, some strength training and address vocal, hand and facial issues. For health and safety, each student uses props stored in their assigned cloth bag and I encourage students to bring their own mat. Mats are available on-site as well.

Our pace is appropriate for those with advanced symptoms. We do seated movement practices and some standing, if a student is able to do so safely. We also include vocal, facial and finger dexterity practice, as well as some higher intensity movement. For health and safety, each student uses props stored in their assigned cloth bag. The class is small to address individual needs. Care Partners are welcome to attend.
